There’s something bittersweet about the end of the holidays. While some of us might be relieved that a season of stressful back-to-back events might be over, most can agree that we will miss having some time off to relax and enjoy time with friends and family. Since these gatherings can be physically and emotionally draining, it’s important to be mindful that you may need some time to unwind afterward. Here are five simple ways to detox your mind and body after the holidays.

Cleanse Your Body

If you have a strict diet, it’s perfectly normal to break it a little during the holidays. Let’s face it: there are very few people who can resist mouth-watering desserts. That being said, what’s done is done. Instead of dwelling on what you might have indulged in, focus your energy on exercising and eating nutritious, balanced meals. Though there are numerous kinds of massages that vary in intensity, some people don’t necessarily find them to be relaxing. If that’s the case, you should consider getting a facial to detox your skin or explore other calming activities at the spa.
