13 Clever Ways to Use Turmeric

Turmeric is one of those superfoods with amazing health benefits that I find people either love or hate. Me? I’m on the love side.

There are so many different uses for turmeric to keep you healthy – and there are also incredibly useful ways to use turmeric that have nothing to do with your health and are likely just tasty or really neat.

I say it’s time we start using this kitchen ingredient to its fullest potential. Below is a list of unique ways to use turmeric in your everyday life!

Despite the fact that turmeric is notorious for staining, it’s also used for whitening teeth. You can make your own turmeric toothpaste or just sprinkle some turmeric on your store-bought toothpaste right before you brush your teeth! I do not speak to how fresh your breath will be after, though.

Turmeric Tea

If you have problems with inflammation, you may want to try taking turmeric each day. For one cup of turmeric tea, boil one cup of water, then add ¼ teaspoon of turmeric. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes, add honey and lemon to taste, then serve!
